NEW PRAGUE, Minnesota – The Carleton College men's golf team moved into fifth place out of 15 teams following the second day of the Bobby Krig Invite at New Prague Golf Club. The Knights, ranked at No. 34 on the Clippd D-III Scoreboard, finished as a team at 21-over par in the final round for a three-round total of 909.
 
No. 32 Gustavus Adolphus College, the host team, won the tournament with a total score of 869 (+25) and 15 strokes ahead of No. 22 UW-Eau Claire at 884 (+40). No. 33 Bethel University finished the three-day tournament at 886 (+42), and in fourth place was No. 30 Saint John's University shooting 888 (+44) as a team.
 
Sam Higaki and Ryan Choi paced the Knights and finished in a tie for 24th place in a field of 90 golfers. Higaki shot seven-over par in the third round and finished with a 54-hole score of 227 (+16). Choi finished the tournament with the same final score as his teammate after carding a ten-over par on the final day.
 
Justin Rodriguez shot back-to-back birdies on the 13th and 14th holes on his way to a round of five-over par. He moved up three sports on the final round to finish at 28th overall with a total score of 228 (+17).
 
Adding to the team score for the Knights was Gordon Walker coming in at eight-over par on Saturday as he finished in 53rd place overall.
 
Gareth Birney had the lowest score for the Knights on Saturday at one-over par in a round that included three birdies. In round two Birney shot 79 (+9) and he did not record a score in round one.
 
Dillon Croco participated in round three as an independent and turned in a score of 83 (+12).
