Nina Schwab earns sixth MIAC weekly award of the season

BLOOMINGTON, Minn. – For the third consecutive week and the sixth time during the 2024-25 season, Carleton College first-year Nina Schwab was selected as MIAC Women's Diving Athelte of the Week.

Schwab won the 1-meter and 3-meter diving competitions during the Knights' dual meet victory over St. Olaf on Feb. 1. In the process, she broke two more school and two Thorpe Pool records

On the lower board, Schwab tallied a six-dive score of 291.25, bettering the school and pool standards that she had established seven days earlier. When action moved to the higher height, she totaled 329.25 points, smashing the previous 6-dive school and pool record of 317.10 established by Angie Soucek '02 in 2002.

Schwab and Saint John's men's diver Eli Grabinski are the only MIAC swim & dive student-athlete to collect six conference weekly awards in a single season.

The Knights next compete at the University of Minnesota First Chance Meet on Feb. 7-8
