BLOOMINGTON, Minn. – Carleton College senior guard
Luke Harris was selected as the MIAC Offensive Player of the Week for Dec. 2-8 after averaging 26.0 points, 3.5 rebounds, 2.5 steals, and 1.5 assists in the Knights' two games. He shot .588 overall (20-of-34), including .600 from 3-point range. This is his fifth career weekly conference honor.
Harris started the week with a 20-point effort on 9-of-12 shooting over only 24 minutes against St. Scholastica in the MIAC opener on Dec. 4. Three days later at No. 23-ranked Saint John's, he tallied 32 points—one off his career high, tied for most by a MIAC player in a conference game this season, his third consecutive 30-plus point game against SJU, and the most points surrendered to one player by the Johnnies since Feb. 26, 2023. Harris was 3-for-4 from beyond the arc; scored 19 points in the second half; and added 5 rebounds, 2 assists, and 2 steals.
Harris leads MIAC players in scoring this season at 22.9 points per contest and now has 1,422 career points, one behind Kevin Grow '18 for ninth place on Carleton's all-time scoring list.
This is the third time this season that a Carleton men's basketball player has collected weekly recognition from the MIAC:
