NORTHFIELD, Minn. -- The Carleton College women's basketball team fell to Gustavus Adolphus College, 87-40, on Saturday afternoon at West Gym.

The Knights (4-11, 3-10 MIAC) were led in scoring by
Jasmine Choi's (Jr./Maple Grove, Minn./Osseo) 11-point effort to go along with seven rebounds.
Aiana Whitfield (Sr./Richfield, Minn./Benilde St.-Margaret's) added eight points, and
Bella Thomas (So./Minneapolis, Minn./DeLaSalle) chipped in six points.
Emma Henry (Jr./Prior Lake, Minn./Academy of Holy Angels) contributed in multiple ways, finishing with five rebounds, four points, two steals, two blocks, and two assists.

The Gusties (14-2, 11-2 MIAC) won their sixth straight game and continue to share the conference lead with Bethel University. They had impressive scoring up and down the lineup as seven players finished with at least seven points. Anna Sanders tallied a game-high 17 points, while Emma Kneifel chipped in 16 points.

Carleton kept pace with Gustavus early on and trailed 10-8 with 3:00 remaining in the first quarter. The Gusties scored five straight points over the rest of the period then shot 69 percent during the second quarter and opened up a 42-20 lead at the break.

Gustavus shot 50 percent overall, while the Knight connected at a 30 percent clip.

Carleton heads to Augsburg University for a 7:00 p.m. contest on Wednesday, Jan. 25. The Knights then return home to face Saint Mary's University on Saturday, Jan. 28 at 3:00 p.m.
