Jocelyn Keller was named Carleton head women's soccer coach in May 2012. She is the ninth head coach in the history of the program. She guided the Knights to the postseason in 2014 and 2019 and ranks third all-time at Carleton with a 60-57-22 overall record.
In her first eight seasons at the helm of the Carleton program, Keller has coached six All-Region performers as well as numerous All-MIAC selections. The Knights have also earned the United Soccer Coaches' Team Academic Award every year under Keller's leadership, stretching their active streak to 19 consecutive years.
Keller owns a career ledger of 109-82-25 (.562), which includes the 2008-11 seasons when she was head coach at Earlham College (Ind.). Under her direction, the Earlham program reached the postseason for the first time in 2009 as a member of the North Coast Athletic Conference. The Quakers then shifted to the Heartland Collegiate Athletic Conference and earned a share of the HCAC Championship in both 2010 and 2011.
Keller earned the Heartland Collegiate Athletic Conference Coach of the Year award in 2010 after the Quakers ended the campaign with a school-record victory total and a 14-6-1 overall ledger. Her squads recorded double-digit win totals in all four of her seasons at Earlham, a feat accomplished only three total times in the 20 seasons prior to her arrival on campus.
After graduating from DePauw University (Ind.) in 2004, Keller began her coaching career as assistant coach at Earlham. After two seasons in Richmond, Ind., she continued her career as an assistant at Williams College (Mass.) where the Ephs posted an 8-3-3 record in 2006. Prior to returning to Earlham, she served as an assistant coach at Washington & Lee University (Va.) in 2007, helping the Generals to a 16-4 record. Keller holds a NSCAA National Diploma as well as a goalkeeping license.
In 2011 Keller completed the NSCAA two-week coaching clinic at the 2011 Women’s World Cup. Upon completion of the curriculum on special topics, she returned overseas with 365 Sports and led a U15 team to Gothenburg, Sweden, to play in the Gothia Cup, a worldwide tournament featuring over 1,500 youth teams.
A member of the U.S. Youth Soccer Region II staff, Keller has also run off-season camps and clinics at the University of Virginia, the U. S. Naval Academy, Washington & Lee, Boston University, and Earlham.
A native of Cincinnati, Ohio, Keller played for a nationally-ranked club team (Classics Hammer F.C.) and high school team (St. Ursula Academy). As a player at DePauw, she made two appearances in the NCAA Tournament, including a trip to the Final Four her senior year as she earned team MVP and all-conference recognition.
Keller earned her master’s degree in Educational Psychology at the University of Minnesota and holds LPCC Licensure through Minnesota Board of Behavioral Health & Therapy (BBHT). She teaches Foundations of Sport Psychology in Carleton's physical education, athletics and recreation (PEAR) department.
Keller lives in Minneapolis with her husband, Ethan.
