FARMINGTON, Minn. - Senior defender
Hadley Twichell helped the Knights on both ends of the field, and earned the Minnesota Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (MIAC) Defensive Player of the Week award, the first of her career.
Defensively, Twichell served as part of a defensive line that conceded just seven shots across two shutout victories. Offensively, she tied the Carleton single-game record with 3 assists in the Oct 14 victory over Augsburg (see chart below), then added the game-winning goal at Saint Mary's on Oct. 17 via a direct free-kick. The results keep the Knights atop the MIAC standings and clinched Carleton's berth in the upcoming conference tournament for the fifth consecutive season.Â
Twichell and the Knights take the field next on Tuesday, Oct. 20 against Macalester. Kick-off at Bell Field is scheduled for 3:30 p.m.
